How to Use the Dynasty Trade Calculator
Using this tool takes less than a minute. Follow these steps to evaluate any dynasty trade before you accept or counter.
- Pick your league format — toggle Standard or Superflex at the top. This changes QB values significantly.
- Search Team A players — type any NFL player name or "2025 Pick" in the Team A search box. Select from the dropdown.
- Search Team B players — add what you'd receive on the Team B side.
- Review player cards — each card shows the player's position, NFL team, age, and current dynasty value.
- Read the verdict — the center panel shows total values and whether the trade is Fair, a Win for Team A, or a Win for Team B.
- Share your trade — use the share button to send the trade comparison to your league mates.
A trade within 10% value difference is generally considered fair in dynasty leagues. Anything beyond 20% is a significant advantage for one side.
How Dynasty Trade Values Work
Dynasty values differ from redraft values because they account for long-term potential, age, and positional scarcity — not just this season's production.
Standard vs Superflex Values
In Standard leagues, only one QB starts, so quarterbacks carry moderate value similar to elite running backs. In Superflex leagues, a second QB can fill the flex spot, making elite quarterbacks the most valuable assets in dynasty — often worth more than any other position by a wide margin.
Age Curves by Position
Each position peaks and declines at different ages. Running backs peak early (ages 22–26) and decline sharply, making young RBs extremely valuable. Wide receivers peak later (24–29) and hold value longer. Quarterbacks in Superflex can maintain elite value well into their 30s due to positional scarcity.
Draft Pick Values
Dynasty draft picks represent unknown future players. Early first-round picks (1.01–1.04) carry elite value because they likely land on a top rookie. Mid-first picks are solid starters. Late firsts are depth pieces. Second and third-round picks have diminishing value but still matter in deep leagues.
